Can I practice Pilates every day?

Yes! You can practice Pilates every day. However, don’t get carried away.

It may be a gentler form of exercise but that doesn’t mean we don’t need to take adequate time to recover.

Here are a few things to keep in mind. 

Rest Your Body

Make sure you have rest days to allow your body to fully recover.

If we get too tired when doing classes because of muscle fatigue we could potentially do the movement wrong. 

This may increase our likelihood of injury.

We want to use Pilates as a form of training that helps prevent injuries not increase them. 

Vary Intensity

Remember: You don’t have to be sore to know you have done a good Pilates workout or any workout for that matter.

Going back to the fundamentals can help you get better acquainted with your body again. 

Progress Slowly

Give your body time to progress and improve.

Do you own morning practice or 5 to 8 exercises that are specific to you then aim for 3-4 solid workouts a week.

Practicing Pilates a few times a week and focusing on the movements to feel them in your body and mind can help take you to the next level.
