What is Reformer Pilates?

Reformer Pilates is similar to Mat Pilates but uses a machine which gives you a more dynamic and intense workout to that of Mat. Reformer gives you a greater range of motion and uses resistance, improving flexibility, muscle tone, balance, spinal support and mind-body awareness.

Reformer Fundamentals is the first step towards your introduction into Reformer Pilates. These classes provide you with the building blocks and confidence to strengthen, tone and develop your body. Within a fundamentals class we cover the key areas of the body to improve your stability

This is a slow paced class which is great for those who:

>Are new to exercise or just getting back into it

>Have an ongoing injury i.e. back, shoulder or knee pain

> Have recently given birth and need to strengthen the core

> Have an autoimmune disease 

How to prepare

Come in clothing that you feel the most comfortable in. Make sure to have water to hand (can be bought in the studio) and a pair of grippy socks. We have a selection of socks available if you need to buy a pair. 

Make sure to arrive 10 minutes before the class starts to give you plenty of time to get relaxed and get to know our other members. Dynamic Reformer is a Full Body Flow using our signature Flow Method. As you can see we piece together exercises to seamlessly flow from to another. You won't have time to think about what to have for tea.

I am thoroughly enjoying the classes so far with Ryan and Beth. Some of the moves are really challenging and you really have to focuss on breathing and engaging your core! I have a very hectic job which leaves me quite tense…. since doing the classes i feel alot less stressed! Its great to find something that benefits both my body and my mind thanks guys ☺
