What is Aerial Pilates?

Aerial Pilates involves practising Pilates exercises in the air by suspending the body, or parts of the body in a fabric hammock. Aerial Pilates helps to increase flexibility and strength, physical awareness, releases tension and offers the opportunity for mindfulness practice.

Low Hammock:

Beginners practising Aerial Pilates start by practising exercises on the floor with the assistance of the Low Pilates hammock. This can then be progressed into our intermediate movements from the floor, giving it a more dynamic and challenging spin.

High Hammock:

Once confident, you can step up to our High Pilates hammock. This is primarily at an intermediate level and require you to suspend the body or parts of the body from the hammock. You can even try your hand at hanging upside down!.

I am thoroughly enjoying the classes so far with Ryan and Beth. Some of the moves are really challenging and you really have to focuss on breathing and engaging your core! I have a very hectic job which leaves me quite tense…. since doing the classes i feel alot less stressed! Its great to find something that benefits both my body and my mind thanks guys ☺

Keely

I found the Aerial Pilates class amazing. The hammock helps me stabilise better so I can get a deeper workout. It looks like it would be super easy, but Beth does make you work hard!
The best part… the cool down at the end when you get a chance to be cocooned by the hammock.

Pretty much everything I require to aid my health improvement.   At my first… – Full Testimonial “Andrew”
