Your Class Journey

Your Journey Start’s Here

On purchase of your 30 Day Kickstarter you may be wondering what class to book first? Below are a list of classes we suggest to start with and how long to do them before moving on.

  • WHY COME?

If you’re new to Infinite or to Pilates, or haven’t exercised for a while, this is the class for you. While it’s still a workout, we’ll also be focusing on getting you familiar with the Pilates Reformer and on practising the techniques you’ll need to isolate muscle groups and activate them correctly.

If it’s your first class, you should make sure you arrive at least 10 minutes early. This is to allow you enough time to complete our registration form and meet the Trainer. Please be aware that if you have not done this before the class starts, you may not be able to train.

    IS IT RIGHT FOR ME?

A basic level of fitness is helpful, but not essential. Beginners classes are open to everyone and they’re the perfect introduction to our Dynamic Pilates programme.

    WHAT WILL IT BE LIKE?

You’ll be introduced to the equipment, techniques and some of the basic exercises that underpin the Infinite programme. The focus is on understanding how the core muscles work, learning to activate them correctly, and beginning to improve your general strength, flexibility and posture.

Whilst these are introductory classes, and less intense than some of our other classes, we’ll still make sure you challenge your muscles and get those all-important endorphins flowing.

You will get hot, so wear clothes that allow you to move easily and stay cool. You won’t need shoes – you but you will need to wear Pilates socks (if you don’t have any, don’t worry – they’re available to buy at Reception).

  • WHY COME?

It may say Pilates for Back Pain, but you don’t necessarily need to be in Pain to do this class. This class is a great way to fully understand the importance of how your body's position can affect your progress. This class helps you to understand how to correctly position the body, learn to breathe with the movement, and get a better connection with your body.

    IS IT RIGHT FOR ME?

This is a great class for those new to Pilates and want to learn how to better develop an understanding as to how the body functions. This will help you to progress quicker in your Reformer classes.

    WHAT WILL IT BE LIKE?

Our Back Pain classes will be a Mat based class. The focus will be on a more rehabilitative form of Pilates. Movements are very specific, controlled and an emphasis in this class is to create a greater bodily awareness.

  • WHY COME?

Are you in need of improving your cardio and like / would like to try functional training. Are you the sort of person who needs that extra push? Do you want to feel like you have worked out?

    IS IT RIGHT FOR ME?

This class is open to all but it is not for the faint hearted. Your cardiovascular will be pushed to its limits. This class usually appeals to those who are looking for fat burn. At the end you will be hot, sweaty & minging!

    WHAT WILL IT BE LIKE?

HELL! (but in a good way)

The class is broken up into 3 sections.

Warm up - this normally take 2 / 5 minutes

The main workout - 20 minutes of non-stop exercise using functional kit and body weight exercises.

Stretching - You don't leave until we have stretched and it’s a great opportunity for you to ask any questions about the session.

Whats Next?

During your 30 Day Kickstarter you also get access to other classes that will compliment your Pilates journey, and help build strength in other areas.

  • WHY COME?

Dynamic Reformer is your next step after doing our Fundamentals classes. Dynamic Reformer is a higher intensity class that uses our unique layering method. We offer a number of variations of movements so anyone can take part.

    IS IT RIGHT FOR ME?

This class is for those who have done other forms of exercise before or have completed a basic understanding of the fundamentals. Also have a good level of body awareness and willing to improve on those key areas of instability. It is also advisable that if you are suffering from an injury you are aware of your limits to prevent making it worse.

    WHAT WILL IT BE LIKE?

Dynamic is a little bit like fundamentals but on steroids. There is a lot more going on with more movements that are blended together to give you a higher intensity full body workout. Don’t expect many breaks. You will be moving from one position to another quite quickly.

  • WHY COME?

Ever wanted to use the gym but wasn’t sure what to do or how to do it? Then Strong is the class for you! Strong is broken down into two sessions, upper and lower. The classes are designed to challenge but keep you safe at the same time. For members the class becomes more than just a gym session, it's a great opportunity to train while chatting with your fellow members in a more relaxed and controlled environment.

    IS IT RIGHT FOR ME?

If you are looking to improve in your Pilates and want to develop your overall strength then this class is perfect for you. All levels of members are welcome as Kirk is always on hand to offer an alternative exercise.

    WHAT WILL IT BE LIKE?

The class is broken up into 4 sections.

Warm up - this normally take 3 / 5 minutes

The main workout - 3 rounds of 5 exercises. 45 seconds of exercise on each station.

Finisher - This is made up of body weight exercises to burn that last little bit of exercise and give you the opportunity to really make a positive impact on your body.

Stretching - You don't leave until we have stretched and it’s a great opportunity for you to ask any questions about the session.

When your 30 Days comes to an end there are multiple options available to make sure you keep getting your Pilates fix. Just head to our Memberships page to find out more.

Can it get any better?

  • WHY COME?

AAA, is an Intermediate/Advanced class designed for targeted work on key areas . But don’t be fooled, while it will help with some serious muscle tone, this class is designed to feel like a full body workout, and will also develop strength and stability in those key areas.

    IS IT RIGHT FOR ME?

This is a fast paced, very intense class that doesn’t provide as much feedback as our Fundamentals and Dynamic classes. It’s very important you are comfortable with the reformer and the basic movements (ab prep, table top etc) before attempting this class. If you have an injury we wouldn't advise you to do this class unless you have had a previous 1:1 with a member of the team and know your limitations. There are very few modifications and little time to change. We always keep in mind people's abilities and give different options where we can, but injuries cannot be modified to avoid a stop start class.

    WHAT WILL IT BE LIKE?

We will be spending around 15 minutes in each area. So that means ultimate burn in each muscle group we work. We are looking to fully fatigue the muscle with little to no rest between exercise and the area we work on.

  • WHY COME?

Designed to stimulate hypertrophy in your muscles. So if you're looking for that firmer look then SHAPE is your class.

    IS IT RIGHT FOR ME?

SHAPE is ok for every level of our pilates members. The exercises are basic but can be extremely challenging.

    WHAT WILL IT BE LIKE?

    Heavy spring tension

    Time under tension.

This is your typical gym sets / reps / tempo but on a Pilates reformer machine.
